I got my JollyVoxBox from Influenster! Inside was Rimmel lip lacquer, the eyeshadow from NYC, some duct tape from Ducklings (smaller version of the Duckbrand), some tissues from Puffs, and some candy from the Skinny Cow!
I’ll start with the lip lacquer from Rimmel. I used it the other night, and I have to say that I really like it. I don’t use a lot of lip sticks or lip gloss besides Chapstick, because I have really sensitive skin, really sensitive lips, and I get cold sores very easily. It is a gorgeous color and it’s definitely a new addition to my makeup routine.
Speaking of makeup, I got the NYC HD Color Trio, and I uses it the other night as well. I have to say that I also really like this, but there are some cons. The color didn’t seem to show up well on my lids, so I was a little disappointed. I added a little bit of a golden brown I had to compliment the darker brown that came in trio. It just seemed really dried out, I guess. It didn’t seem to spread, blend, and it was difficult for me to apply. I will say that I am pretty novice with makeup though. But I did really like the colors!
Next, I’ll talk about the duct tape I got. It’s not like the wide duct tape we’re used to; it’s much thinner, about 3/4 of an inch wide, very colorful and cute. It’s duct tape but in a roll of scotch tape size! And let me tell you, this stuff is GREAT!! It’s cute, colorful, it sticks like crazy! It will hold anything and I love it! I used this to help make my DDR pad extra cute. :3
Next, I’ll talk about the Puffs. Can you really mess up tissues? Who knows, someone probably could, but Puffs didn’t. These are nice, and so soft on my nice. An extra added plus is that the ones I got didn’t contain lotion, which is great for people with extra sensitive skin like me. (Can I stress my sensitive skin enough? The BB cream I got in my VoxBox the last time I was allergic to. I had no idea until I realized that I was getting horrible cold sores the day after using it. And now I get two cold sores a month. My health insurance ends in February, and I’ve been going to the clinic once a month to get Valtrex and using Abreva daily. This certainly adds up.)
Last but not least, the Skinny Cow. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to try these because they had Peanut Butter in them. I’m sensitive to peanut butter and, yep, I get cold sores when I consume too much. Same with chocolate. Screw you arginine! Screw you sensitive skin and allergies! these looked sooo good. My family tried them, and everyone said they were great. They were 130calories for one packet, which contained three pieces of candy in approximately one inch squares. They described them as eating a creamy, flat Reese’s cup. Chocolate for 130cal? Can’t beat it!
All in all, I was really excited to receive and test out this VoxBox! All the stuff in here was great! So grateful to be an Influenste!
